Gulabjaam not just a sweet dish

Gulabjaam is a Marathi drama movie that takes us through an emotional adventure of love and passion.

Aditya Naik is from London he recently visited his house in Mumbai and then instead of going back to London and doing his boring job, Aditya decides to follow his passion. This is where a journey of food, love, and passion begins.

Aditya Naik performed by Siddharth Chandekar wanted to start his own Marathi-style restaurant in London and thus his craze to learn cooking bring him to Pune. Where he met Radha, a very rude or we can say weird and very hard to approach personality.

Radha is the character played by Sonali Kulkarni. She is very good at cooking and she runs a small tiffin or mess business. The taste of her food drives Adity crazy and his search to find someone to learn cooking finds a way. It was hard to approach Radha but Aditya’s willpower had another thought.

Gulabjaam: a sweet, heart touching, and most delicious

Director Sachin Kundalkar presented this movie in such a beautiful way that you cannot decide either you would decide to eat Gulabjaam or you would just take some time to process this movie in your mind and then smile.

It is a Marathi drama movie and it would make you smile. If you are a food lover it would definitely ignite a spark in you to start following your passion.

Siddharth Chandekar and Sonali Kulkarni are delightful and fun to watch. Their chemistry in this movie is must watch.

We also get to see Madhura Deshpande as Neha in this movie, her small role is impactful. There are some good performances by supporting actors like Rohit Haldikar as Chikya, Mahesh Ghag as Popat, Shamim Pathan as Rukmini, and Chinmay Udgirkar as Ameya.

We also get to see Priya Bapat, she made a cameo as London hotel girl. Trust me she looks very pretty and her small screen time is enough to win our hearts.

Three things I like about this movie:

Okay I know I have so much to write about this movie and it is really difficult to write three things about this movie.

  1. Radha Agarkar: Radha is an inspiration to many girls out there. The way she gets through all difficult times in her life gives me goosebumps. It really required so much strength and power to stay alone and work every possible thing to smile.
  2. Aditya and his passion for food and desire to follow his dreams: We all have dreams and many few of us actually follow them or fight for them. I loved the way Aditya followed his dream and how he scarifies things and his emotions.
  3. Radha and Aditya: Okay it’s obvious to select lead characters as we assume they will fall in love and eventually they will end up being together and happy ending. Well, this movie is more than that and thus these two characters are very special. They both have their own story and they are very eye-catching in their own way.

This movie is available on zee5. I watched it after 4 years from its release and I think for quality content there is no time limit so I would suggest you give this movie a try.
