Dean Jones ex-Australian cricketer recently talked about one of the most talented Indian cricketers Shubman Gill.
Dean Jones said He would like to see Shubman Gill opening the innings for IPL team KKR.
Shubman Gill was the player of the tournament in the U19 world cup. Thus considering his immense talent and we all have seen his potential. So Dean jones feels that Shubman Gill has all the potential to succeed at the top of the order.
Dean Jones while speaking to Hindustan times said, I want to see Cricketer Shubman Gill open batting for Kolkata Knight Riders. I think there is an opportunity for it now, Time has come for them to put him at top of the order and let him play.
After that Shubman Gill played a lot of cricket and opened now of Gujarat Titans. He has proved his caliber. He also opened an inning for India in the West Indies series with Shikhar Dhawan when other big stars were missing from the series.
We totally agree with Dean Jones and, the kind of talent Shubman has, he got a chance to prove it. Like Prithvi Shaw, Rishab Pant, and other players play for team India.
After his comment, many things have changed. Shubhman Gill not only opened for KKR but he was one of the key batsmen and run scorers. He has also done superbly well for Gujarat Titans leading the franchise to win Tata IPL 2022.
Shubhman Gill has also played and opened for team India. He did extremely well in ODI cricket whenever he got an opportunity.
No doubt Shubhman has an immense amount of talent and he will be one of the most important players for team India. Shubman is not part of T20 thinking right now, however, Indian team selectors are thinking more about him for long-format cricket.
